Wide Receiver. 1985-99. Andre Reed. 6. player. 16.

You may not know this, but Andre Reed owns the record for the most games played for the Bills with a whopping 221 appearances over 15 years. Talk about loyalty to the team that brought you into the league as a fourth-round pick and turned you into a superstar.

The sad thing is that Reed will never be mentioned among the all-time greats. You won’t hear him compared to players like Jerry Rice, Randy Moss or Raymond Berry. While that may be the case, it’s a no-brainer to consider him the best receiver to ever suit up for the Bills.

During those 15 seasons, Reed was the model of consistency. He rarely got hurt, rarely dropped passes and made the most of every opportunity presented to him. His glory days with Buffalo came from 1988 to 1994, a time span in which he was voted to seven Pro Bowls and was selected as a Second-Team All-Pro three times.

Although some would say it can be attributed to his lengthy career, Reed now owns nearly every Bills receiving record — and by a wide margin. Chances are we won’t see his 941 catches, 13,095 receiving yards and 86 receiving touchdowns eclipsed by another Buffalo pass-catcher anytime soon.
