Josh Allen may not start for the Buffalo Bills right away, but the odds are in his favor. That and more in today’s Morning Charge.
The first NFL preseason game is tonight and the Buffalo Bills are just one week away from their preseason opener. Football is back!
Football being back means prop bets are back, which can now be wagered on in several more states.
One particular set of odds that I found interesting was an over/under for how many games Josh Allen will start in 2018. The figure is so high it seems like those in Vegas don’t have much faith in the patience of both Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott.
This is all speculation right now so it will be nice to see Allen and the other quarterbacks on the field next Thursday against the Carolina Panthers. Allen may end up getting the most playing time of the bunch, so prepare for the hype to build if he looks great, even against a third-team defense.
We look at this and more in today’s edition of The Morning Charge.

A look at some confident words from Kelvin Benjamin before the season begins. He is playing for a new contract and that will come in Buffalo if he proves to be a true number one receiver. If he struggles, both sides will be looking for change in 2019.
AJ McCarron may have pulled ahead in Buffalo Bills quarterback competition (Buffalo Rumblings, Matt Warren)
And finally, an update out of Bills camp where AJ McCarron seems like the top guy, for now.
