Buffalo Bills: 5 new additions who will make an immediate impact
All the talk about the Bills after the draft surrounded the selection of Josh Allen. That tends to happen when a team takes any quarterback in the first round.
But the selection of Tremaine Edmunds in the first round was also a major move by Beane. While Allen comes in to hopefully lead the offense for years, Edmunds comes in to do the same for the defense.
The 6-foot-5 linebacker runs like a wide receiver and was brought in to be the focal point on defense. He is going to go through the normal struggles faced by all rookies, but fans will be seeing him on the field early and often in 2018.
Edmunds was drafted by the Bills one year after the team took Tre’Davious White in the first round. The two play different positions, but if Edmunds can have a similar rookie season as to what White had in 2017, the Bills are in great shape.
The key for Edmunds will be to put in work with the veterans on the roster to learn the different NFL offenses and not be fooled often as a rookie. He can learn from Lorenzo Alexander as the veteran can teach Edmunds the ways of the NFL in 2018.
