The Buffalo Bills decided to focus on the draft as the way to add talent in 2018 and that leads to some great expectations for the young players.
The Buffalo Bills are headed to the Super Bowl!
The hype is real this time of year and as wild as that opening sentence sounds, there are plenty of people on Twitter declaring the Bills to be set to play in February. Let’s slow down a bit.
There are so many different predictions for how the Bills will do this season, but the players can’t focus on those. That is especially true for the rookies.
Unfortunately, a lot of this year will be focused on developing the rookie class. That is true for most teams every single year, but it is not what fans want to hear after the team made the postseason. It is possible to return, but that would mean some rookies stepping up in a big way or the veterans in town severely shouldering the load.
The best expectations to have are none at all. Yes, that is much easier said than done. But it is better than going around declaring Josh Allen to be The Chosen One. It helps keeps the migraines away.
Here’s a look at this idea and more surrounding the Bills in a Tuesday edition of The Morning Charge.

A fun alternate history that may not have changed much in Bills history, but one that is still an interesting possibility to ponder.
