John Miller: Buffalo Bills’ 2017 Player Profile
By Ryan Brennan
John Miller has overcome a lot in his two years with the Buffalo Bills and continues to impress.
Buffalo Bills‘ right guard had a rough rookie season , both on and off the field. The team drafted him in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft and had high hopes for him right out of the gate.
He would start 12 games his rookie season and struggled to show any consistency with his game. A lot of that was due to having to deal with the loss of his mother and an ankle sprain, in addition to it being his first year.
He would continue to work at it, though, and would spend time with Richie Incognito in preparation for the 2016 season. His hard work would pay off and Miller would have a much better season to show for it.
John Miller will have to put in that same amount of work this offseason because he still has plenty to work on, especially his pass-blocking.
It’s also important to mention that Pro Football Focus named John Miller the most improved second-year guard, with Shaq Mason (Patriots) trailing him. That’s some high praise for the young guard.
If he proved anything last season, it’s that he’s ready for the challenge.
