Buffalo Bills NFL Draft: Complete Day 2 Draft Order (Rounds 2 & 3)
By Ryan Brennan
With the first round out of the way, the Buffalo Bills will have three picks for Day 2 of the NFL Draft. Here’s a full list of who will pick on Friday.
The first round of the NFL Draft was surprising to say the least. The Chicago Bears started off the early surprises when they traded up to the second pick for Mitchell Trubisky. The Buffalo Bills were the second trade of the night, sending their 10th overall selection to the Kansas City Chiefs.
In return, the Bills received the Chiefs’ 27th overall pick, a 3rd rounder in this year’s draft and the Chiefs’ first round selection in 2018. Although there was a lot of talent at No. 10, this route will help the Buffalo Bills in the long run.
Not to mention, they were still able to get a day-one starter at No. 27 when they selected Tre’Davious White — cornerback out of LSU.
White looks to be the No. 2 cornerback at One Bills Drive, working opposite Ronald Darby — who is entering his third season. White could also see time as a punt-returner and special teams player. It was known before the draft started that Sean McDermott prefers players with versatility and that’s exactly what the Buffalo Bills are getting with Tre’Davious White.
Now that it is Friday, it’s time for Day 2 of the NFL Draft. With three picks today, Buffalo will have a chance to add players at positions that are a heavy need currently. After taking a cornerback in the first round, they still have glaring needs at linebacker, tight end, offensive tackle, wide receiver and safety.
I’m expecting a linebacker, offensive tackle and receiver in Day 2, but you never know with the Buffalo Bills. There will still be day-one starters on the board, so it could come down to just grabbing the best available.
