Special Teams

The Bills brought in Stephen Hauschka this offseason to replace a kicker that had been disappointing the past two seasons.

#2. Free Agent. DAN CARPENTER. K. Yes, he’s finally gone. Dan Carpenter didn’t have a pretty past 2 seasons in Buffalo, contrary to his first two seasons. In 2015 and 2016 combined, Carpenter made 42/52 field goals and 74/85 extra points. Not exactly good numbers and a lot of his misses were game-changers. Fans should be happy to see a new face at kicker in Hauschka, but he will have to prove himself to the fanbase before they open up.

Free Agent. JORDAN GAY. K. Jordan Gay was mainly the Bills’ kickoff specialist after having stints with the Panthers and Giants. He would flip-flop between the active roster and the practice squad, but was mostly just eating up a roster spot that could’ve been used somewhere else. Along with Garrison Sanborn, the Bills freed two roster spots that were kind of wasted. Jordan Gay remains a free agent this offseason.. #4
