Buffalo Bills 3-2 in Past Five Meetings With Seattle

It was the final game of the 2000 season that saw yet another high-scoring game from both the Buffalo Bills and Seattle Seahawks.
The Buffalo Bills entered the final game of the 2000 season against the Seahawks at 7-8 and were trying to give their fans an early Christmas gift with a victory to end the season.
In a game where 65 points were scored between both teams, it was good that 42 of those points came from the Buffalo Bills — who pulled away with a 42-23 victory on December 23, 2000. Because of this victory, the Bills have won 3 of the past 5 meetings between the Bills and Seahawks.
This game was also the last game Doug Flutie played for the Buffalo Bills, before heading to the San Diego Chargers in 2001. Many fans say that the Bills haven’t had a quality quarterback since Doug Flutie and are hoping Tyrod Taylor — who has a long way to go — can be the answer for the Buffalo Bills.

Doug Flutie would start this game hot, throwing for two touchdown passes — an 11-yarder to Shawn Bryson and an 18-yarder to Peerless Price — in the first 11 and a half minutes of play. However, the Seahawks would answer on the next kickoff with an 81-yard return for a TD by Charlie Rodgers.
Antowain Smith would add a 9-yard rushing touchdown for the Bills, giving them a comfortable 21-7 lead at the end of the first quarter.
The second quarter saw one touchdown from each team. Jon Kitna scored a one-yard rushing touchdown 5 minutes into the quarter to bring the Seahawks within one touchdown. However, Flutie would throw his third TD of the game with a 6-yard pass to Jay Riemersma with one minute left in the half.
After a Seahawks’ field goal in the third quarter, Antowain Smith would score his second touchdown of the game as the third quarter winded down — giving the Bills a 35-17 lead at the end of the third.
The fourth quarter wouldn’t give the Seahawks enough time to come back, as Antowain Smith scored his third TD of the game after the Seahawks scored a rushing TD to wrap the game up. The Bills won 42-23 behind big games from Antowain Smith and Doug Flutie.
Smith finished with 147 yards and 3 touchdowns, while Flutie had 366 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Is it possible we see those type of stats from LeSean McCoy and Tyrod Taylor on Monday night? It’s possible.
