The past five times the Buffalo Bills played the Seattle Seahawks, they’ve won three. Hopefully we can make that 4 out of the last 6 on Monday.
It was a little bit strange having to wait until Monday night to see our Buffalo Bills play, but living on the West Coast means a 5:30 PM game — the perfect time to get Pizza Hut.
As we patiently wait, I figured we could take a look back at the past five matchups the Bills have had with the Seattle Seahawks, since it doesn’t happen very often. In fact, these two teams haven’t met in nearly four years and only five times in nearly 16 years.
That game nearly 16 years ago was in late December of 2000 and marked the end of the 2000 season — the first season the Bills were without Thurman Thomas, Andre Reed and Bruce Smith and the first season that started our playoff drought.
This is no doubt a must-win for the Buffalo Bills, who will enter their bye week once the game is over. Going into your bye week off a victory will do wonders for this team’s confidence and help us finish strong as we look for that playoff spot we’ve been waiting so long for.
Going back to living on the West Coast, we’ve only had the opportunity to see the Bills play on television twice — Week 2 TNF vs. Jets and Week 8 vs. Patriots. As you know, both have been embarrassing losses, so a nice rebound on Monday night is definitely needed for Buffalo.
Before we get started, let’s get a quick summary of the game’s we’ll be talking about — the past five meetings with the Seahawks:
As you flip through the slides, we will re-live these games for a brief moment with a scoring summary, stats and more. To get the next game, click the dark blue “NEXT” banner at the end of each post.
