Miami Dolphins’ wide receiver Jarvis Landry had some kind of chip on his shoulder when they hosted the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

We all knew the Week 7 meeting between the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins would be tense. The two teams share the same AFC East division and have been going at it for years.

When you see a team twice every year, it makes those games more personal and usually more exciting for fans watching.

On Sunday, Jarvis Landry of the Miami Dolphins seemed to take it to another level — twice.

  • It all started in the first quarter with under a minute left, when Landry caught a 26-yard pass from Ryan Tannehill. After the catch, he taunted towards the Bills and received a 15-yard penalty for taunting. It wasn’t that big of a deal, other than the fact that if he had received a similar personal foul, he would be ejected.

With three quarters left, it left a lot of time for him to screw up.

About halfway through the second quarter, he screwed up. Before I say anything, I would like to add that he was standing by Aaron Williams after the fact with his helmet off in good spirit.

During a 6-yard rushing gain by Jay Ajayi, Jarvis Landry launched himself at Bills’ safety Aaron Williams to block for Ajayi. The hit caused Williams to stay down for an extended amount of time, before being taken directly to the locker room by trainers.

Landry was flagged on the play for unnecessary roughness, which would mean that he was ejected from the game. However, Laremy Tunsil of the Dolphins was also flagged on the play for holding. The Bills would decline the penalty on Landry and accept the holding penalty, meaning Landry could stay to play.

Not too long after the play, it was announced that Aaron Williams would not return to the game and was ruled out with a head/neck injury. It doesn’t look good for Williams, who missed most of last season with a neck injury.

We are all praying that Aaron Williams is fine and his neck is okay.

At halftime, the Buffalo Bills lead the Dolphins 10-6 thanks to a 10-yard rushing TD by Tyrod Taylor. The Bills will need more offense and will need to keep the Dolphins’ offense off the field in the second half.
