Can Kolby Listenbee Be Our Missing Receiver?

Before the 2015 Season, Bills fans had Percy Harvin to look forward to. Although he was a somewhat aged, worn-down receiver, he had the excitement that made Buffalo take the risk of signing him.

He may have had personal issues with other players on previous teams, but you didn’t hear much about it in Buffalo. Granted, he wasn’t around for much of the season but nonetheless, he wasn’t the distraction that he had been in the past. Unfortunately, Harvin failed to make an impact last year due to injuries and has now decided to retire.

More from Bills Draft

After the Bills drafted key players to fill major holes on draft weekend, they decided to draft a wide receiver.

Kolby Listenbee is nearly the same build and speed as Percy Harvin. During the NFL Combine, Listenbee ran his 40-yard dash in 4.39 seconds. That is pretty fast. Factor in the fact that he had a double sports hernia at the time and we have ourselves one quick receiver.

One may look at the draft pick as someone to add depth but I look at it as a pick that will add to the Greg Roman-style offense.

Harvin and Listenbee’s stats from college are similar but Harvin has the edge having been in the Urban Meyer offense.

What we are looking at here is someone who can make an impact. Someone who can make plays when the ball is in their hands.

Listenbee has the chance to be the Bills speedy replacement (pun intended).

A lot of Bills fans have been skeptical of the draft pick but in my opinion, the Bills got a steal in the 6th Round of the NFL Draft.
