As said above, there are only 3 players that have worn the number 32 for the Buffalo Bills. We start in the mid 60’s with Jack Spikes who donned the jersey number from 1966-1967.

Jack Spikes ended his football career with Buffalo from 1966-1967. After being in the league for a total of 8 years and playing for 3 different teams 5 of them with the Dallas Texans/Kansas City Chiefs. He spent 1 year with the Houston Oilers and finished his career with 2 years in Buffalo. During his 2 years in Buffalo, he was primarily used as a running back and had 32 attempts for 127 yards and 3 touchdowns.

The next player to tote the number 32 for the Buffalo Bills is that of 1968 full back Gary McDermott. McDermott was in the league for 2 years, beginning with Buffalo. McDermott was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the 1968 draft in the 9th round, 227th overall. In 1968 he had played in 14 games and had 47 attempts on the ground for 102 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns total.

The final player to wear the number 32 for the Buffalo Bills came in 1969 and stayed until 1977. Drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the 1st round as the 1st overall pick, O.J. Simpson was the last Buffalo Bills player to wear number 32. After 9 years in Buffalo, Simpson went on for another 2 years with the San Francisco 49ers. During his time in Buffalo, Simpson started in 98 games and had 2123 attempts on the ground. He rushed for over 10,000 yards in his Buffalo career coming in at 10,183 yards with 57 touchdowns. He added 175 receptions to his resume for an additional 1924 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Simpson is a 6 time pro bowlers and 5 time 1st team All Star. He has been inducted into the Hall of Fame, back in 1985 and was also the first Buffalo Bills player/coach to be recognized back in 1980 on the Wall of Fame.
