If you are looking for justification that our defense has gotten better against the run, look no further. The Buffalo Bills rank in the top 5 of the league in run efficiency ratio. Now what this is that it looks at both the rushing yards that are generated on offense and compare then to the rushing yards the defense gives up. As of right now, the Bills produce 1.57 yards on offense rushing for every rushing yard their defense gives up. So far this season, the Jets, Redskins and Seahawks are the only teams better than the Bills, all with over a 2 in rushing efficiency ration. [Buffalo Bills]
The Buffalo Bills will take on the Houston Texans on Sunday. They will also see a familiar face across the line when they are on defense. Former Bills quarterback, Ryan Fitzpatrick, will be at the helm for the Texans. So far, he has not had too bad of a season leading the Texans to a 2-1 record so far, in similar fashion that the Bills have gotten to their 2-1 record. [ESPN]
With the Bills having a homecoming reunion with Ryan Fitzpatrick of sorts, the Houston Texans will also have a homecoming reunion with one of their former players this week; Mario Williams. Williams is not looking to be a distraction for Buffalo this week looking to turn around a loss and get back on track with a win this week. [BDN.com]
Marcus Easley was injured against the San Diego Chargers this past Sunday with a leg injury. He was kept out of practice on Wednesday and was determined to be out against the Houston Texans. Chris Williams, back, was also out of practice on Wednesday. If Williams is unable to go against the Texans Cyril Richardson will get his debut start in the NFL at guard. [Fox News]
