The Buffalo Bills had a shot at Super Bowl LX, but major roster issues caught up with them. As they watch the two teams that made it; the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots, one can't help but wonder how different this weekend would be if the Bills owned some of that talent. Here are 12 Super Bowl players the Bills would love to have.
Super Bowl players that Bills would love to have on their team
WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba
Yes, it is a pipedream, but a receiver of Jaxon Smith-Njigba's caliber would undoubtedly have been the difference between a Bills game this Sunday, and the offseason of debacles currently in store for Buffalo. In an ideal world, the Bills would have found their man in Keon Coleman. Instead, they have as poor a WR core as Josh Allen has dealt with since 2018. JSN just won Offensive Player of the Year en route to a Super Bowl appearance, and the Bills are at home.
WR Cooper Kupp
Buffalo had an emergency at wide receiver late in the season. The team signed veteran Brandin Cooks to help out, and it wasn't enough. Meanwhile, Allen's fellow 2018 draftee Sam Darnold was given Cooper Kupp alongside JSN. The duo are remarkable, but either one of them would have done wonders for the Bills offense. In 2026, they definitely still would.
LG Grey Zabel
Grey Zabel was one of the most outstanding rookies in the NFL this season. As an interior lineman, the greatest honour is never hearing your name, so most fans wouldn't know it Zabel's effectiveness in run and pass blocking. As the Bills prepare to lose both their starting center and left guard, Zabel would be a dream replacement.
DE Leonard Williams
In 8 seasons with Josh Allen, Sean McDermott's defense failed to get to the quarterback. Despite rotating personnel, a variety of skillsets, big contracts, and expensive draft picks, the job never got done. Leonard Williams is the sort of player who gets it done. His production this season was equal to Buffalo's best, and his ability to work in any situation makes him hard to take off the field.
S Nick Emmanwori
Nick Emmanwori is such a remarkable talent, it's easy to forget he's a rookie. The Bills took Maxwell Hairston five spots before he went off the board. There was worry that Nick Emmanwori wouldn't be able to play in Super Bowl LX, but he's good to go now. Buffalo will get another look at what they've missed out on.
S Coby Bryant
The Bills would have cried with glee to have either of the Seahawks safety duo paired with Cole Bishop in 2025. That wish would still be a welcome one in 2026. Bryant had 4 interceptions, 7 passes defensed, and 4 tackles for loss this season. He's highly productive and excellent in coverage.
LB Uchenna Nwosu
Uchenna Nwosu is a highly capable outside linebacker, racking up 7 sacks on the season despite lining up away from the line of scrimmage for chunks fo the season. Nwosu would have been welcome in Buffalo, who needed his production and linebacker depth. In 2026, he'd be an ideal fit for Jim Leonhard's new defensive philosophy.
LB Earnest Jones IV
Yes, the Bills have the linebacker they needed in the middle in Terrel Bernard, but he was absent for their playoff run. It's been a major problem, losing key linebackers when it matters most. Jones has been healthy and excellent for the entirety of the Seahawks run- His 5 interceptions, 7 passes defensed, and 126 tackles as a middle linebacker are a remarkable accomplishment.
LB Harold Landry III
Call it the benefit of sitting in a versatile defense if you want, but Harold Landry is the lynchpin of versatility, not the product. His play for New England has been nothing short of remarkable, emblematic of his Tennessee days. Landry's production from the OLB spot would have been valuable, but he's an even better fit for the 2026 Bills.
WR Mack Hollins
Call it a retread, call it a dream, most Bills fans would never have let Mack Hollins leave in the first place. The Bills 2025 WR situation was so bleak, even Hollins would have had a solid starting role. Be it his wacky demeanor, competitive attitude, or dedication to a lifestyle free from the prison of shoes- Mack Hollins was as fun in Buffalo as he was effective.
RB Zach Charbonnet
If we're dreaming, we may as well dream big. Having Zach Charbonnet as RB2 behind James Cook would make the league's top run game even more effective. Though RB2 is hardly an issue on the Bills, Charbonnet makes the pot that much sweeter.
WR Kayshon Boutte
Boutte isn't a star receiver yet, but he could still have led the Bills in yardage this season. At minimum, he's the field stretcher that they hoped to receive in Josh Palmer and Gabe Davis. At most, he's a rising star. Regardless, they'll be seeing him often for the next few seasons.
