First, all of the drama was surrounding LeSean McCoy. Then, Jonathan Williams had trouble with the law. Now, Karlos Williams has been sent his fate after violating the league’s substance abuse policy.

It just doesn’t seem to stop for the Buffalo Bills‘ running back corps.

It all started when LeSean McCoy was involved in a bar fight that broke out in Pennsylvania between the running back, his friends and a couple of off-duty police officers. Although it wasn’t a good look for McCoy, who is also dealing with an injury, he ended up not being charged for the incident and as a result, the league decided not to take any further action regarding the fight.

Needless to say, LeSean McCoy was left off the hook and to many Bills’ fans delight.

Next, it was our fifth-round draft pick, Jonathan Williams, who saw himself in trouble with higher authority. Early on Thursday morning, Williams was caught swerving while driving in Fayetteville, Arkansas. After taking standard sobriety field tests, the police decided he was too drunk to be driving and charged him with a DWI offense.

After being arrested, he was quickly released around two hours after arriving at the Washington County Detention Center. Since then, we have been waiting for the league and the Bills to handle the arrest accordingly. The Bills have issued a statement:

"“We are aware of the report and are in the process of gathering information. We have notified the league office of the report under the rules of the NFL Personal Conduct Policy.”"

So, that’s two of our four running backs that have found themselves in trouble this off-season. What could be next?

What about a four game suspension for our second-year running back, Karlos Williams.

After a successful rookie campaign that saw nine touchdowns, he first made headlines when he showed up to mandatory mini-camps overweight and then blamed it on his fiancee being pregnant.

Now, he is making news again with his four-game suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. Although he will still be able to take part in training camp and preseason, his suspension will begin the Monday of Week 1 action, which will be played against the Baltimore Ravens.

Karlos Williams will be able to return to regular season action on Monday, October 3rd. That is the day after the Bills will travel to New England and play the Brady-less Patriots. The Buffalo Bills have released a statement regarding this Williams, as well:

"“As an organization, we are disappointed that Karlos has put himself in this situation. Poor decisions such as this affect not only the individual, but the entire Bills organization. We will continue to work with Karlos through the various player programs we provide to assist him in making better decisions moving forward."
