When the Buffalo Bills traded up for Josh Allen in the 2018 NFL draft, they were getting a player that had boom-or-bust potential. There were no questions about Allen’s arm strength or athleticism. He is more of an athlete than he is a quarterback. At the same time, one of his red flags was his wild play that led to turnovers.

Since taking over as the Bills starting quarterback, Allen has thrown 78 interceptions and has fumbled 63 times (26 of them being recovered by an opponent). There is no question that turnovers have been apart of Allen’s journey in Buffalo. We also cannot ignore the wild production that Allen has had, especially from 2020 and on.

Last year was his worst season in terms of turnovers, throwing 18 interceptions and fumbling 7 times. This season, it has been the complete opposite for Allen. While he has fumbled four times, he remains as the only quarterback to throw an interception. He has 15 total touchdowns (12 passing) and he’s only had one game of a true number one receiver presence in Amari Cooper.

As Allen prepares to lead the Bills into Seattle this Sunday, CBS Sports writer Garrett Podell made some bold predictions for various players/teams for Week 8. Fans might be wondering when Allen might throw his first interception, but Podell is predicting that Allen will remain interception-free in Seattle.

"Fast forward to today, and Allen has played clean football with 12 passing touchdowns and zero interceptions to start 2024. He is the third quarterback in NFL history with 12 or more passing touchdowns and no interceptions through the first seven games of a season along with Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles (2013) and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith (2017). Allen's consecutive games without an interception is the longest streak by a starting quarterback in Bills history. "

Bills fans are hoping Josh Allen continues to play perfect football

Throughout his career, Allen has been labeled as a turnover machine. There are stats to back that claim up, but that’s not the case this season. It is safe to say that Allen was the last player predicted to not throw a single interception through seven weeks, especially given the fact that the Bills were lacking a true number one target in the beginning of the season.

The Seahawks defense has four interceptions this season and they will be looking to shutdown Buffalo’s offense. In order to do that, they will need to find ways to rattle Allen.
