Week 16 is officially in the books and there are now just two regular season games left. For some teams, they just have to prepare for two games while others have already clinched a playoff spot or are fighting to make it to the postseason.

This past week, the Bills and Patriots were the only AFC East teams to come away with a win. Both of them are in the race for the division title, but the Bills needed help from the Ravens in order to get closer to the top of the division. Sadly, New England won and they have an extremely easy path towards the title.

This week’s AFC East schedule has two laughable games, and one potential matchup that could turn into a game of the year candidate.

Week 17 AFC East schedule

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-8) @ Miami Dolphins (6-9)

1PM - FOX

There is a battle down in Florida between the Buccaneers and the Dolphins. Tampa is still fighting for a playoff spot in the NFC, but the Dolphins are out of playoff contention and are going the rest of the season without Tua Tagovailoa who was benched after Miami’s horrible performance against Pittsburgh in Week 15.

Miami is coming off a disastrous 45-21 loss against Cincinnati. Now with Tampa coming to town and still looking to get into the playoffs, they are going to be doing whatever it takes to take down the Dolphins.

New England Patriots (12-3) @ New York Jets (3-12)

1PM - FOX

Bills fans may not want to admit this, but the Patriots have the easiest chance at winning the AFC East. This week, they head to New Jersey to take on Brady Cook and the New York Jets. Cook is set to start once again for the Jets who have now lost three games in a row.

The only way the Patriots lose this game is if they make mistake after mistake after mistake, and allow the Jets to somehow get ahead of them.

Philadelphia Eagles (10-5) @ Buffalo Bills (11-4)

4:25PM - FOX

We’ve got arguably the best game of the week in Orchard Park as the Bills will host the now NFC East champion Philadelphia Eagles. Buffalo has won four in a row and will close out the regular season with this two-game home stretch starting with Philly.

At this point, the Bills will more than likely be a wild card team but they have a chance to show the rest of the NFL that they are as good as anyone else. While the Eagles have had their ups and downs this season, they are division champs for a reason and that sets the Bills up for a prime opportunity to make a statement.
