The Buffalo Bills picked up their fourth straight win on Sunday, defeating a young Cleveland Browns team 23-20. This brings the team one step closer to clinching another playoff berth.
In the end, it was a close game, and these players came through when it mattered the most to seal the dramatic victory.
Three Buffalo Bills players who came through in the clutch
Where has defensive end Greg (Groot) Rousseau been lately?
Greg Rousseau totaled 2.5 sacks on the day, including a game-clinching one on quarterback Shedeur Sanders that also forced an intentional grounding call, leading Cleveland to punt the ball away. The half sack came from veteran safety Jordan Poyer, who has quietly played a key role in the Bills' 11-4 record all season long.
While Groot has had a good year for the most part, he has been ineffective for the previous two weeks. It was good to see the pass rusher finally step up and make a key play in a crucial moment of the fourth quarter.
DaQuan Jones had never done this before, (until now)
Veteran defensive tackle DaQuan Jones has been a focal point during the Bills' recent run of success. At 6 feet 4 inches, 320 pounds, Jones' primary job is to shoot out of the initial gap and stop the run in the middle of the hole.
While he has yet to win a Super Bowl in his career, the 33-year-old finally earned his first-ever interception off a tipped pass from Sanders. Prior to that moment, Jones never had a pick in any level of his football career.

Therefore, this interception was more than just his first; it was a special moment for a one-of-a-kind player.
James Cook was cooking in the first half
Once again, the Bills' running game, which was led by running back James Cook, dominated the first half of the game. After the Browns scored on their opening drive, Cook ran the ball to the house 44 yards for the touchdown to tie the score at 7.
Cook then capped off the first half with his second rushing touchdown from 3 yards out with 2:23 left in the second quarter to put the Bills up 20-10 at halftime. The speedy back totaled exactly 100 yards rushing on nine carries with two touchdowns in the first half.
Unfortunately, he didn't have the same luck in the second half, only being held to 17 rushing yards and no touchdowns. The Bills' only offense came from newly signed kicker Michael Badgley's field goal to increase the Bills' lead to 23-10 with 9:37 left in the third quarter.
Despite that, Cook finished the day with 117 yards on 16 carries and two touchdowns. He is still in a two-way race between him and running back Jonathan Taylor (Indianapolis Colts) to see who will bring home the NFL rushing title this season.
Cook is also on pace for 1,736 yards on the season, which would be a career high for the former Georgia Bulldog. The important thing is the Bills did enough to beat the Browns and are looking forward to their next competition, the Philadelphia Eagles.
