After a week-long talk about how the Buffalo Bills were going to wipe the floor against the Miami Dolphins, it was anything but that kind of game. The Bills and Dolphins squared off against each other in Week 2 and it was Buffalo that delivered a beating to Miami, winning 31-10. However, it was a much different second game between the two teams.

It took quite awhile for the Bills to get into the endzone, while it only took the Dolphins until the second quarter to get into the endzone and eventually took a 10-6 lead going into halftime. Then things started getting fun in the second half, once Josh Allen connected with Mack Hollins for Buffalo’s first touchdown of the game in the third quarter.

From there on out, Miami and Buffalo were exchanging scores back-and-forth and there were plenty of nervous moments for both teams. The Dolphins drove it down the field with less than two minutes to go to tie the Bills 27-27, and it gave Josh Allen 1:38 left to lead a game-winning drive against the team that he always wins against.

It truly came down to the wire, and after the Bills failed to convert on third down with just ten seconds to go, the team turned to Tyler Bass to clinch the victory. Bass had already missed an XP attempt and doinked one in as well off the crossbar. Buffalo trusted Bass from 61 yards out and he delivered to give the Bills a 30-27 victory.

Buffalo Bills continue to dominate AFC East with Week 9 win

With the Bills defeating the Dolphins, Buffalo now takes a commanding lead with a 7-2 record, with the New York Jets behind them at 3-6. In addition, the Bills sweep the Dolphins again for the third consecutive season.

Despite the Dolphins giving the Bills a scare, they are still no match for the Bills and their season struggles will continue on. It is safe to say that the Bills most likely won’t see the Dolphins this year again as Buffalo looks focused on winning the division sooner than later, while Miami is looking lost once again now at 2-6.
