The focus for the Buffalo Bills will now turn to the offseason, where a ton of decisions will have to be made with the roster. Whether it’s with who is a pending free agent or looking to see what options may hit the market, the front office for Buffalo will have to make decisions that could go good or bad for them.

One of their longest tenured players, linebacker Matt Milano, is set to hit free agency for the first time in his career. Milano has been hit with so many injuries the last few seasons and has missed a ton of time.

It got to the point where the Bills restructured his contract that took a year off, making him a free agent in 2026. There is a chance that Milano may have played his last snap in Buffalo. While the Bills may move on from him, there are a few spots that Milano could go to and still be a contributor.

Top potential landing spots for LB Matt Milano in free agency

Tennessee Titans

Outside of Jeffery Simmons, the Titans need all the help that they can get on defense. Tennessee is closer to a rebuild than being a contender, but if the Titans want someone who has been to the playoffs in all but one year of his career and can still play sideline-to-sideline football, then Milano is a solid choice for them.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs were the hottest team in the NFL early on in the season, starting out 6-2. Then they went 2-7 to finish at 8-9 and missed the playoffs. However, they beat the Panthers in Week 18 to keep their NFC South chances alive, but they needed the Saints to beat the Falcons on the final Sunday of the regular season. That didn’t happen and the Panthers stole the division away.

The Bucs opted to keep Todd Bowles as their head coach, and he is a defensive-minded coach that has put together some great defensive units throughout his career. Tampa has a solid foundation going on offense, but they could use some immediate help on defense and then draft to develop. They would benefit from Milano’s style of play.

Dallas Cowboys

Even when Micah Parsons was in Dallas, the Cowboys’ defense was very shaky. Once they traded him to the Green Bay Packers, their big time playmaker was no longer there. Dallas lacked on the defense once again and that’s part of the reason why they went out and traded for Logan Wilson and Quinnen Williams.

However, they need more help this offseason if they are looking for another linebacker who can cover opposing tight ends, Milano could be a best fit for them.

Buffalo Bills

At the end of the day, there is also a possibility that the Bills and Milano could make another run together. They signed him to an extension before, so maybe they do it again for atleast one more season. Afterall, he was very impressive this season.

He finished third in total tackles for the Bills (67) and added 3.5 sacks, only behind Greg Rousseau and DaQuan Jones. In a contact year on a defense that was terrible from start to finish, Milano showed that he has some left in the tank and if the Bills feel like he would be a great veteran presence for atleast one more season, then they need to bring him back.
