Three Seahawks players Bills fans need to worry about in Week 8

Given the injuries to key positions, Buffalo’s other stars will need to step up and help alleviate the losses on both sides of the ball.

As you’ve probably heard from so many places, the Seattle Seahawks have a very talented roster. From top to bottom, they have depth at many positions and continue to bounce back no matter who gets injured. That poses a challenge for the Bills, who are down linebacker Terrel Bernard, defensive tackle DeWayne Carter, and wide receiver Curtis Samuel, as head coach Sean McDermott announced on Friday morning. Given the injuries to key positions, Buffalo’s other stars will need to step up and help alleviate the losses on both sides of the ball. That begs the question, who are some Seahawks players the Bills should be worried about?

Safety Julian Love

Arguably one of the most underrated safeties in the league right now, Love has totaled two interceptions, one forced fumble, and four passes defended. Love is a big piece in the success of Seattle’s talented secondary which also includes fellow safety Coby Bryant. Love has been all over the field, and has had a great vision for the ball this season. With Josh Allen not throwing an interception yet this year, this Seattle secondary will be his toughest battle yet. Seattle’s defense has forced four interceptions and 21 passes defended on the year, and coming into this game, the Seahawks won’t be changing how they play football.

Their run game

The Seattle rushing attack has been dominant all season, and Kenneth Walker has been a big part of that. With Kenneth Walker rushing for 303 yards and six touchdowns in only five games, Walker has been playing like a top-five running back in the league. Not to be left out is Zach Charbonnet, who’s been as good as you could ask for from an RB2. Charbonnet has totaled 201 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the year, including a 91-yard and two-touchdown day against the Miami Dolphins with Walker injured. With DeWayne Carter out for this week and beyond, the Bills need some of their other depth players to step up, like Austin Johnson and Zion Logue.

Defensive tackle Leonard Williams

We touched on this a little bit previously, but Leonard Williams has been by far their best defensive lineman. Williams, despite playing for multiple teams and being traded a handful of times, has been a good player anywhere he’s gone. With 46 career sacks spanning three different teams, Williams has been a successful pass rusher anywhere he’s gone. With the Bills offensive line continuing to play great into this season, they should be able to contain Williams and keep Josh Allen’s jersey clean. However, whenever you mention Williams’ name, there’s cause for concern.
