While the Buffalo Bills could be going in a different direction with their defensive side of the roster, they atleast won’t be heading into a full rebuild. However, the same thing can’t be said about one of their own division rivals in the Miami Dolphins. They have a brand new regime with Jon-Eric Sullivan and Jeff Hafley, and they are making moves.

Adam Schefter reported that the Dolphins were releasing wide receiver Tyreek Hill. It was expected considering the money that the Dolphins would save with the release, and the fact that Hill suffered a dislocated knee and torn ACL last season.

The news broke right in the middle of the day, and media outlets started talking about what Hill’s next move should be, including Stephen A. Smith on First Take.

Stephen A. Smith lists Bills as a team Tyreek Hill should look to join next

On First Take, Smith said that Kansas City, Buffalo, or Baltimore should be the three teams that Hills looks to join next. At the same time, Smith vouched that Hill should return to Kansas City considering that he already knows the Chiefs from being with them for year until he was traded to Miami.

A pairing of Hill and the Bills is not a great fit at all. Hill is past his prime and coming off a major injury to where we don’t even know when he would be back on the field, it’s best that the Bills stay away from the idea of trying to sign Hill.

While the Bills desperately need a true go-to wideout for Josh Allen, Hill is not the answer. A couple of years ago, he would have absolutely been dynamite for the Bills’ offense. Instead, he was doing whatever it took to beat the Bills.

Unless Hill was willing to join the Bills on a reasonable contract, and would have the opportunity to try and play in 2026, Buffalo doesn’t need to mess around with the wide receiver position more than they already have.

Buffalo is better off going out in the draft and drafting someone rather than bringing in a veteran who is past his prime and now has a serious injury that he is recovering from.
