The Buffalo Bills have had their share of criticism this offseason with not just losing in the playoffs again, but also joining the head coaching cycle after firing Sean McDermott. While the Bills took on a lot of heat, they are still one of the best teams in the NFL and they managed to keep some continuity with the hiring of Joe Brady.

As for other teams, it’s hard to say the same thing. One team that joined the cycle of not just looking for a new general manager, but also a new head coach was the Miami Dolphins. Former GM Chris Grier has been replaced by Jon-Eric Sullivan and Mike McDaniel has been replaced by Jeff Hafley. Both Sullivan and Hafley come from Green Bay, and will now look to rebuild the Dolphins.

The Dolphins are looking to start fresh and heading into a rebuild especially after Adam Schefter reported that the Dolphins were releasing WR Tyreek Hill.

This comes after the Dolphins were reportedly releasing edge rusher Bradley Chubb, per Tom Pelissero. The Dolphins are heading for a rebuild and the Bills should be laughing considering the time and investment that Miami put into building their roster but with no success whatsoever.

Bills fans can only laugh at Dolphins as they are tearing down current roster

From 2020-2024, the Bills ruled the AFC East and the Dolphins were really the only team to truly challenge them in that span. In 2023, the Dolphins at one point looked like they were on their way to bringing the division title down to south beach. After trading for players like Hill and Chubb for a haul of picks, the Dolphins tried to do whatever they could to move the division away from Buffalo.

Instead, all that Miami got was constant underwhelming football once the cold weather settled in and they still couldn’t win a single playoff game. Early on in the season, the Dolphins were arguably the best team in football but then they regressed as the season continued on.

Now with a new regime in place, the Dolphins are going into a huge rebuild and they may even look to move on from Tua Tagovailoa at some point this offseason or next offseason.

While both Buffalo and Miami have new head coaches, the Bills atleast have a great amount of continuity still. The Dolphins on the other hand don’t and now they are going to need to put in extra work to become competitive in the NFL again.
