Well, the Buffalo Bills are officially no longer the best team in the AFC East. That may be a wild take, but it’s the truth. Year after year after year, the Bills failed to reach the Super Bowl despite getting to two AFC title games. The New England Patriots went through a little bit of a rebuild which included drafting Mac Jones, and then Drake Maye.

Maye was just a rookie quarterback last season, and Mike Vrabel came in as the new head coach. I know that Vrabel is a great coach, but the Patriots were not expected to make any huge splashes this season.

Instead, they not only won the AFC East but now they are heading to the Super Bowl. They have done something that the Bills couldn’t do despite having a wide open window in the division for the last five seasons, and not having to face Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs.

To make matters worse for the Bills, they will now be forced to watch one of their former players play for a Super Bowl. Wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who was with the Bills from 2020-2023, is now getting the chance to win a Super Bowl before Buffalo does.

Stefon Diggs has chance to win a Super Bowl before Bills do

This has been an extremely rough week for Bills fans. In addition to losing to the Broncos in the divisional round of the playoffs, they have seen Sean McDermott get fired, a disaster of a press conference from Terry Pegula and Brandon Beane, and now a former player who did not end on a high note with the Bills has the chance to win a Super Bowl before Buffalo even makes an appearance with Josh Allen.

In addition to Diggs getting the chance to win a ring, WR Mack Hollins, who was with Buffalo last season, will also have a chance.

Two weeks ago, the Bills were celebrating their last win of the season over the Jaguars in the wild card round. Now, it seems like everything has gone downhill and the wait continues on in their head coaching search.
