SI is all-in on Josh Allen, Bills hype with bold prediction for 2025 NFL season

Although it's probably not actually *that* bold.

Stop me if you've heard this before, but expectations for the Bills' upcomming season are already through the roof. One of these years they're going to beat the Chiefs – you'd think – and finally push through to the other side, once and for all living up to the potential of what's shaping up to be one of, if not the, NFL's best rosters. That's what I'm telling myself, at least.

But as it turns out, 'the Bills are really good' isn't that hot of a take at all. In fact, I'm not the only person finally predicting a Bills breakthrough in 2025. And since you probably don't take me seriously, the good news for you is that the other outlet predicting a big year in Buffalo is Sports Illustrated. So now you know it's happening. In their big list of 100 offseason predictions, SI throws out not one, but two wild Bills predictions, neither of which involve the Kansas City Chiefs.

Sports Illustrated thinks a magical Bills season is about to happen in 2025

"Predicting the Eagles will return to the big game is a begrudging move on my part, but it’s a recognition that nearly all of the NFC front-runners have brutal schedules. Philadelphia is the one team that can handle the rigors of such a slate and win ugly consistently enough to make the dance. Meanwhile, the Bills have an amenable schedule that includes the Browns, Falcons, Panthers and Saints, as well as multiple cracks at the bottom rung of the AFC East.

"This slate will keep Josh Allen healthy and in berserker mode for the playoffs when Buffalo needs him most ... By virtue of the Bills being in the game, and by virtue of the fact that the quarterback always gets the award (justice for Josh Sweat!), Allen will be your Super Bowl LX MVP in a meat grinder of a game against the Eagles in Santa Clara. Khalil Shakir will lead Buffalo in receiving with 112 yards and catch the game-winning touchdown, prompting general manager Brandon Beane to yell YOU LIKE THAT in the postgame locker room."

How 'bout that? Take it from a writer – 'prediction' is just a fancy word for 'random guess,' so take this for what it's worth, but it never hurts to hear people in the know talk about how well the Bills are set up for success this year. It may finally be the year. If it isn't, just blame the Chiefs. You can always blame the Chiefs.
