This coming Sunday will most likely be the last game the Buffalo Bills will play in their current stadium. While they are still atleast an 11-win team, this season has felt different compared to the last five seasons. They lost the AFC East for the first time since 2020 and we never know which Bills will show up on gameday.
In addition, the Bills have been dealing with what seems like endless injuries across the roster.
One of their biggest losses to injury was defensive tackle Ed Oliver. After having a great Week 1 performance against the Baltimore Ravens, Oliver missed the next four games due to an ankle injury during the practice week leading up to Week 2.
Oliver eventually returned in Week 6, and then played in just two more games before going out on the IR with a torn bicep after Week 8. There was a chance that maybe Oliver could be back in time for the playoffs, but now after a recent injury update him, I find it very hard to see him play for the Bills again this season.
Recent Ed Oliver injury update has Bills fans heavily concerned
According to Sean McDermott, per Katherine Fitzgerald, Oliver had a “meniscus cleanup on Monday, in which the knee injury occurred during Oliver’s rehab process from his bicep injury.

With the Bills having one more regular season game to get through before the playoffs, this is not the news that fans wanted to hear. Buffalo’s defense, outside of 2-3 games this season, has been horrendous at stopping the run. Not having Oliver in the middle to provide that pressure up the middle has hurt them badly.
Now with Oliver not only having to come back from the bicep injury, but now there is a second injury that he has to overcome. I find it extremely difficult to see him suiting up for the Bills again this season unless he can somehow really push through the rehab for both injuries.
