The Buffalo Bills are in the middle of a tough push for the playoffs in a wide open AFC. Coming into this season, the Bills were projected to be a top team in the conference and in the league. Right now, they are on the verge of not even being in the playoff picture despite having an 8-4 record. That just tells you how wild this season has been.

One of the main reasons why the Bills have had their four losses, or have even been in closer games than expected is because of their defense. They couldn’t stop the run for the longest time, and the injuries just wouldn’t stop happening. Well, the Bills are facing yet another big injury obstacle to overcome on the defensive line.

According to Sean McDermott, per Joe Buscaglia, edge rusher Joey Bosa is listed as "week-to-week" after suffering a hamstring injury against the Pittsburgh Steelers. McDermott mentioned how this phrase could be "1-2 weeks" or "4-5 weeks" and that the hope is that Bosa won't be out for awhile.

Bosa was also listed as dealing with a wrist injury, per the Bills' PR team on the Wednesday injury report.

Bills set to go into December without best DE in Joey Bosa

The Bills are one of the many teams fighting for a playoff spot and they need every advantage that they can get. Possibly not having Bosa for more than one game is bad news for this pass rush. While Greg Rousseau is solid at stopping the run, he doesn’t provide that pass rush that the Bills need in crucial moments. A.J. Epenesa is up-and-down, but has shown to get the quarterback at crucial times, just not at a consistent level.

Buffalo brought back edge rusher Andre Jones Jr. back to the practice squad as extra depth, and it could be an indication that Bosa’s injury could keep him out longer than fans hoped for.

With the Bills having to play opponents like the Bengals, Patriots, and Eagles this month, not having Bosa on the field is going to severely hurt this defense that is already not the greatest at full strength.
