We can officially say that it’s game week for the Buffalo Bills! This coming Sunday night, the Bills will host the Baltimore Ravens, otherwise known as the team that lost to the Bills in the playoffs for the second time this decade.

After the Ravens delivered a major beatdown in Week 4 last season to the Bills, it was Buffalo who got the last laugh with a 27-25 divisional round win against Baltimore. With this upcoming battle between the top MVP runners from last season in Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen, there is no better start to the Sunday Night Football schedule.

As the Bills and Ravens prepare to go to battle, we had the chance to speak with Ebony Bird Site Expert, Connor Burke, who covers the Ravens. Burke was able to provide some valuable insights heading into this anticipated AFC battle.

Bills vs. Ravens insights heading into Week 1 Sunday Night Football

1.) What is a weakness that Baltimore is experiencing that the Bills could attack?

"Offensive guard play is definitely the weakest point that the Bills could attack. Andrew Vorhees will be getting just his fourth NFL start and is coming off a disappointing 2024. Daniel Faalele has also struggled. Although he had a strong finish to last season, he has been very inconsistent. I think there's a ton of potential in Buffalo's interior defensive line group with Ed Oliver, T.J. Sanders, and Deone Walker, and they could give the guard duo fits throughout the game."

2.) Who is a player on the Ravens that is super underrated that the Bills need to watchoutfor?

"Travis Jones has already developed into a very good NFL player, but I don't think many people realize how good he is. Ravens fans are expecting him to turn into a Pro Bowl-level player in 2025. He played most of last season on a bad ankle, and still toughed it out and proved to be one of the better run stuffers in the league. With him at 100 percent in Week 1, I think he'll be a key factor in limiting James Cook and the rest of the Bills' rushing offense."

3.) Do you believe this game has the chance to be a repeat of Week 4 or the divisional round from last season?

"In terms of scoring, I think it'll be similar to the playoff game from last year. Both teams are going to stick to their guns and pound the rock, but I see more of a focus on the air attack than we saw in January. They each have star corners with Marlon Humphrey and Christian Benford, but I think Buffalo's depth will be tested, and Josh Allen could pick on rookie first-round safety Malaki Starks early. Obviously, the weather was a factor in the playoff game, and assuming it's not horrible in Week 1, Josh and Lamar should find more success through the air."

Kickoff between these two AFC powerhouses takes place this Sunday, September 7th at 8:20PM EST live from Orchard Park.
