The NFL Draft is officially less than one week away and we could not be more excited to see who will be joining the Buffalo Bills for 2025 and beyond. The only bad part about the draft is that because the Bills are so successful during the season, that lowers their first round selection. At the same time, it’s better to have a successful season rather than a higher draft pick.

The Bills haven’t picked in the top ten since 2019 when they acquired Ed Oliver from Houston. As for the rest of the AFC East, the Patriots and Jets have been a little bit of a mess while Miami had tried so hard to take the division away from Buffalo, yet comes up short every single time.

New England, New York, and Miami are all set to pick in the top-fifteen while the Bills will have to wait until No. 30 to be on the clock (assuming that they don’t trade up or trade down). The Patriots and Jets will have prime opportunities to acquire top-tier talent with them being in the top seven. The Dolphins can still potentially get a solid prospect as well, but they will have to wait a little bit.

There have been countless mock drafts published for months and they aren’t going to stop until the draft officially opens. It’s always fun putting together mock drafts and predictions on what could happen in the draft. With that, we take a look at the predictions for who could be finding themselves coming to the AFC East for the foreseeable future.

Predicting each AFC East team's Round 1 picks

New England Patriots (No. 4): EDGE Abdul Carter, Penn State

Something tells me that there is going to be a bit of a shock in the top five to where the Patriots would find themselves having the chance to draft arguably the best prospect in the draft in Abdul Carter out of Penn State. The only way that I could see this happening is if QB Shedeur Sanders gets drafted by either the Browns or the Giants.

That would either push Carter or Travis Hunter down to the Patriots which would be fantastic for them. Even though the Pats desperately need help on the offensive line, passing up on Carter would be beyond foolish. Knowing that Josh Allen is in your division, the Pats could benefit from having a ferocious pass-rusher for the future.

New York Jets (No. 7): OT Armand Membou, Missouri

The Jets are starting form scratch again with a new regime and their main focus should be on supporting Justin Fields at all cost. That means they go with Missouri offensive lineman Armand Membou who has skyrocketed up draft boards the last few weeks.

The Jets drafted Olu Fashanu in the first round last year, and with Morgan Moses joining the Patriots, the Jets decide to take Membou to solidify the tackle position upfront for the future.

Miami Dolphins (No. 13): OT Kelvin Banks Jr., Texas

With Terron Armstead retiring, the Dolphins have another big need at protecting Tua Tagovailoa and they get Kelvin Banks Jr. out of Texas. He is excellent in all-around protection and is a true left tackle that could help keep Tua upright.

Even though there is an argument that they could add to their defense, the front office has to do whatever it takes to protect their franchise especially when you factor in the injury history. However, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Dolphins go corner here especially if someone like Will Johnson is still available.

Buffalo Bills (No. 30): CB Trey Amos, Ole Miss

I’m at the point where I believe the Bills need to do whatever it takes to grab a cornerback and they do that by acquiring Trey Amos out of Ole Miss. He is a big corner who is great at 50-50 pass breakups. In addition, he can also play solid zone coverage which is what Buffalo specializes in.

The Bills find their CB2 to pair with Christian Benford and make up for the mistake of trading up for Kaiir Elam back in 2022.
