We can officially say that we will watch some NFL football next month. Sure, it’s only preseason but it is still a big stepping stone into getting ready for Week 1 of the season. However, we first have to go through training camp in which teams start reporting in late July. The Buffalo Bills are heading back to St. John’s Fisher University where they will report on July 24th for their first practice. They will have ten practices, as well as the “Return of the blue and red” practice at Highmark Stadium on August 2nd.

Once August rolls around, we will start to really focus on the upcoming season that starts with preseason. The Bills are at home twice during their three-game preseason.

Last season, Buffalo was on the road twice where they went 1-1, finishing 2-1 overall heading into the 2023 season. They opened up the preseason against the Indianapolis Colts where we saw Matt Barkley play like an all-star and created a true backup quarterback competition with Kyle Allen. Then the Bills went onto the road against the Steelers where Pittsburgh showed up to play while the Bills seemed like they were still thinking about their win against the Colts the week before.

The Bills closed out the preseason in Chicago where in a back and forth game, the Bills managed to get the win and it helped solidify the final 53-man roster.

When do the Bills begin their preseason?

On Saturday, August 10th, the Bills will open up their preseason by welcoming Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears to Buffalo. It will be interesting to see if and how long the Bears will play Williams who has the best situation a rookie quarterback can ask for.

Then Buffalo will return to Pittsburgh for the second consecutive year on August 17th, before they conclude their preseason schedule back in Orchard Park where they will take on the Carolina Panthers.

We are almost there, Bills Mafia. Before you know it, we will be watching the Bills running out onto the field and seeing what this new look team can bring.
