Both teams are expected to be powerhouses in the division, and this matchup could go a long way in playoff seedings at the end of the season.

The Buffalo Bills have a quick turnaround this week, as they play tonight against the Miami Dolphins. Both teams are expected to be powerhouses in the AFC East division, and this matchup could go a long way in playoff seedings at the end of the season. With injuries piling up already, the Bills will have to put their trust elsewhere as they wait for quarterback Josh Allen and cornerback Taron Johnson to heal up. So, who on offense is going to benefit the most this week? How about on defense? Let’s dive into our bold predictions for Week 2.

Keon Coleman has over 100 yards and two touchdowns on the day

We saw Keon Coleman have a small role in the Bills offense last week, picking up 51 yards on four receptions as the team's leading receiver. Could that lead to a bigger role this Thursday against a banged-up Dolphins secondary? Josh Allen went to Keon quite a bit in their first game, targeting him five times, the most out of their pass catchers. The only thing that will be different this week is how many more times they look towards Keon. Miami’s defense should be focusing on Dalton Kincaid for most of the game,

The Dolphins' secondary looks quite different from the last time the two teams faced off. The biggest differences are the loss of Xavien Howard and the addition of former Bill Jordan Poyer. The Bills could take advantage of their injuries this week, and Keon Coleman could benefit from that.

My prediction: 7 receptions, 110 yards, two touchdowns.

The Bills secondary holds Tua Tagovailoa to under 200 yards passing and one touchdown

The new secondary for the Bills, however, was pretty good last week. Buffalo held Kyler Murray under 200 passing yards and came up big in clutch situations. They’ll have a more difficult task this time around as they go up against Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, but the Bills have notoriously been able to contain the two speedy receivers in Miami. That shouldn’t change this time around, and their secondary should be able to do a better job than the Jacksonville Jaguars did in Week 1.

When Taron Johnson came out of the game with his injury, the Bills relied on Cam Lewis as their Nickel corner. That shouldn’t change this week, but the Bills should have an easier time containing Miami’s slot receiver, Braxton Berrios, than they did with Arizona’s, Greg Dortch. This will still be a daunting task on Lewis, who only has four career starts leading up to Thursday night, but from the start of training camp up to now, he’s shown the Bills he can play in this secondary. Lewis will be one of the players they rely on Thursday to contain this fast-paced Dolphins offense and keep the Bills offense on the field.

Tua’s stat prediction: 182 yards, one touchdown, one interception.
