In a competitive sport like football, players want to win every game and usually don't need extra motivation to play their best football. However, some of the games on the Buffalo Bills 2023 schedule could mean a little more to some members of the Bills.
The reason is that they will be lining up against former teams or even head coaches in some instances. They will want to have their best games and make a statement in what could be considered revenge games on the Buffalo Bills 2023 schedule.
Week 15: Buffalo Bills vs. Dallas Cowboys
Connor McGovern
The Buffalo Bills didn't make many big splashes in free agency this offseason but the biggest contract they gave out was to offensive guard Connor McGovern. The two sides agreed to a three-year deal worth $22.35 million.
He was a third round pick by the Dallas Cowboys and this past season stepped in as a full-time starter at guard after 14 starts his first three years. McGovern missed his entire rookie season due to a torn pec injury suffered before the season.
McGovern certainly didn't leave Dallas on bad terms and this offseason his former head coach, Mike McCarthy was very complimentary of the player. There is no question that McGovern not only will want to show his former team what he can do but also that he warranted the contract he got in free agency.
