UPDATE: The Bills versus Steelers game has been postponed until Monday at 4:30 PM due to inclement weather in Buffalo on Sunday. What follows is the original write up previous to the postponement.

The Buffalo Bills are massive favorites on NFL Wild Card Weekend against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the team is coming into the playoffs as hot as any team in the league, winning the AFC East in Week 18.

The Steelers needed a Jacksonville Jaguars loss in Week 18 to get into the playoffs, and they got that – and three wins to close the season – to make the playoffs. Mike Tomlin never fails to get his team over .500 and into contention for a playoff spot.

This game could be tough to predict with a low total, weather issues, and a lopsided spread, but I will try anyway!

Using the latest odds, here’s my final score prediction to guide your bets for this matchup:

Steelers vs. Bills odds, spread and total

Bills final score prediction

The total in this game is rather low – sitting at just 36 points – but it makes sense given some of Pittsburgh’s offensive struggles throughout the season.

Plus, there is a nasty forecast for Sunday’s game, with potential snow and high winds. That’s going to make it tough to throw the ball, and we saw the Steelers play a 17-10 game against Baltimore in poor conditions in Week 18.

While the Bills are favored in this game, I am worried about them covering the spread against Mike Tomlin and the Steelers. Tomlin is 57-34-5 ATS as a head coach as a dog, the best mark in the NFL  since he took over the Steelers in 2007.

In a game with such a low total, oddsmakers are asking for a massive Buffalo blowout to cover this spread and still be around the total.

Buffalo has been impressive over the final few weeks, but the team still has played close games against lesser teams (New England, New York Giants, New York Jets, and others) this season.

Even with T.J. Watt out, I think Pittsburgh hangs around enough in this game. The team did have two strong offensive games with Mason Rudolph under center (30 and 34 points), so I think it’ll be able to muster something on Sunday in that department.

Final score prediction: Bills 21, Steelers 13
