Since being drafted in 2018, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has always faced massive criticism about his game. He had huge upside coming out of Wyoming, but he also had a lot of improvement to work on with his accuracy and playing recklessly. Over the years, Allen has solidified himself as a top quarterback, in the mix with Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow, who are all chasing Patrick Mahomes. For the first time since his rookie season, Allen will have a roster surrounding him that doesn’t have a lot of proven talent. However, we should be treated to seeing Allen elevate the players around him rather than the other way around.

Recently, an NFL Executive made comments about Allen and how he makes too many mistakes, essentially calling him one of the most overrated players in the NFL. Sure, Allen does make mistakes, but who doesn’t? Another thing to consider is that while Allen does make mistakes, there is no reward for him not taking risks and we all know that Allen is not afraid to take risks.

Colin Cowherd, who is the host of his show “The Herd” talked about these comments made about Allen and how Allen should be considered underrated as compared to overrated.

Cowherd went on to say “Over the four years that he has won the division, he’s the most productive player in the history of the sport.” Allen has 173 total touchdowns in the last four years. That is just flat out unbelievable to see. To say that Allen is more underrated than overrated is not out of the question. He has been a top overall player in the league, let alone at the quarterback position. With a new offensive coordinator with Joe Brady and an improved offensive line from last year, the sky's the limit for Allen.

The biggest thing that will determine Allen’s true greatness is how well he can work with this essentially new receiver room.
