Reason #2: Poona Ford will help the Buffalo Bills' linebackers

One of the biggest question marks for the Buffalo Bills defense entering this season is at linebacker. The Bills lost Tremaine Edmunds and have focused on adding as many potential replacements instead of a clear-cut starter to step in.

The team has a group of linebackers that include Tyrel Dodson, A.J. Klein, Terrel Bernard, and possibly third round draft pick Dorian Williams that will compete over the next few months to win that starting job in the middle of this defense.

Outside of Klein, this group is very inexperienced and there certainly could be a learning curve for them as they step into a full-time role. One of the ways the team can give them the best chance to be successful is by improving the line in front of them.

The addition of Poona Ford certainly does that as he should not be able to slow down offensive linemen from getting to that second level on run plays. It will give whoever is playing linebacker more room to get to the ball carrier and make the tackle.
