Which are the top defenses the Buffalo Bills will play in 2023?

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills offense are no strangers when it comes to being able to get in the endzone. In 2022, the Bills managed to put up 455 points on the scoreboard, which ranked fourth across the league, in which they played against four teams who ended the season as a top ten defensive team (Ravens, Jets, Bengals, and Steelers). The Bills passed for 4,129 yards and rushed for 2,232 yards, averaging over six yards a play. 

Not too shabby for first-time offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey, but the offense also struggled with play-calling throughout the season. It seemed like there were times the unit would make the simple calls so complicated and vice versa. Former Bills wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie commented specifically on the Bills playoff loss in the divisional round to Cincinnati in regards to the playcalling, “The Bengals ran basic routes, maybe we should’ve done that, ran basic routes”. 

The Bills will need to make the necessary adjustments if they want to not only be a threat on offense, but a consistent threat. This has been one of the setbacks for the team which has limited them in various games.
