For the past four seasons, the Buffalo Bills have taken control of the AFC East with four consecutive division championships and have gone 19-5 in that span within the division (along with two playoff wins against the Patriots and Dolphins). Once Tom Brady left in 2020, the Bills stepped up and became the best team in the division up to this point.

Having Josh Allen under center, Stefon Diggs to throw the ball to and a defense who can play top-notch football in crucial moments has helped the Bills become who they are today. However, it is a different story heading into next season.

The Bills lost a lot of pieces in the secondary this offseason. They basically have almost a brand-new starting backend of the defense. In addition, wide receivers Gabe Davis and Stefon Diggs are no longer in Buffalo and instead will play against the Bills in 2024 with their new respective teams.

This upcoming season will show us if the Bills can still continue their dominance or if a new team will take over the division considering how much Buffalo lost this offseason. There is pressure on each AFC East team heading into this season, but not for the same reasons.

Here is the “success pressure rate” for all teams in the AFC East to win the division, with #4 as the least amount of pressure and #1 being the most pressure to win the AFC East.
