2.) James Conner - Week 1

It’s not that James Conner is a bad back, but who knows what the Cardinals will be in 2024. They have been horrendous the last two seasons but Conner was the one bright spot last season with Kyler Murray out of the lineup. Heading into Week 1, the Bills will have the task to slow down the rushing attack of Conner and potentially Trey Benson, the rookie back the Cardinals drafted out of Florida State.

Conner is coming off the best season of his career with over 1,000 rushing yards for the first time in his career. However, the Cardinals are getting Kyler Murray back under center for a full season with a much better receiving core that is headlined by rookie Marvin Harrison Jr.

While the Cardinals were one of the best rushing teams last year, that could take a step back easily as Arizona should be looking to focus more on the pass. Conner is not the type of back that will take over a game so as long as the Bills’ defense doesn’t roll over, Conner should not have much success in the season opener.
