Predicting Josh Allen's stats in Week 3 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jacksonville Jaguars are off to a rough start this season, starting with an 0-2 record. The Jaguars can't get anything done on offense, as they've only amounted to 30 points and 590 yards of offense in two games. Just for comparison, the Bills have scored double the amount of points (60) in the same span.
Trevor Lawrence has been struggling big time through the past two games. He has a 51% completion rate and led his offense to only three touchdowns in the past two weeks (only one of those being passing). The defense has been good, as it is the strength of the team.
Their defense on paper isn't that impressive besides their front seven, who include 2023 leading solo tackler Foyesade Oluokun, young linebacker Devin Lloyd, and edge rushers Travon Walker and Josh Hines Allen, who've both combined for 27.5 sacks in 2023.
Besides that, their cornerbacks aren't very intimidating, including former Buffalo Bill, 30-year-old Ronald Darby, and a young Montaric Brown. However, their safeties are Andre Cisco and newly acquired Darnell Savage are both solid players. So it's likely that the Bills will try to attack the cornerbacks and go a little more through the air than last week.
Allen seems more comfortable in this offense, so there's a chance he has another good game especially with his left hand getting a 10-day rest. However, Allen better be ready for around 25-30 passing attempts, because the Jaguars offense will try their best to score on offense.
Josh Allen's projected stats
Allen will be looking at Dalton Kincaid a lot during this game, along with Khalil Shakir and a sprinkle of Mack Hollins, Curtis Samuel, and Keon Coleman. Assuming that Allen's hand is healthy, he will improvise more than last week, recording 44 rushing yards on seven attempts.
Assuming that the offensive line does a fine job in pass protection, Allen will have a great game through the air. He will pass for 322 yards, completing 22 out of 28 passes with three touchdowns and an interception. Allen will finally end the Jaguars' two-game winning streak against Buffalo and lead the Bills to 3-0 to start the season.
