Nico Collins, not Stefon Diggs is Texans WR Bills need to worry about in Week 5

While the storyline will be Stefon Diggs facing his old team, it will be Nico Collins that presents more of a threat.

When you see a matchup of the Buffalo Bills vs. Houston Texans, it usually wouldn't be a huge storyline, but that is different this season. The Bills made a trade with the Texans back in April and sent former star wide receiver Stefon Diggs down to Houston in return for a future 2nd round pick.

When the news broke of this trade, people immediately started doubting the Bills. They no longer had a true number one receiver and the wide receiver took a massive hit in production. Honestly, no one can blame the doubters for counting the Bills out in the offseason. However, that is why the only thing that matters is what happens on the field.

Going into Week 5, the obvious headline is going to be Diggs taking on his old team in which he had massive success with. The Bills and Diggs won four consecutive division titles with each other and Diggs was the reason why Allen took the massive MVP jump from 2019 to 2020. However, all good things must come to an end and it was time for the Bills and Diggs to part ways.

Both Houston and Buffalo are heading into Week 5 with strong starts to their season. While the attention will be on Diggs and Buffalo, Diggs is not the receiver that the Bills should be most concerned about.

Texans’ WR Nico Collins is turning into a star

Collins is coming off of a massive breakout game this season against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He led the Texans in targets (15), receptions (12), and yards (151), along with a touchdown. Collins has three games of over 100+ receiving yards and he will be looking to increase his production against the Bills.

There is no doubt that Diggs is going to get his targets and C.J. Stroud will be looking to get him a score as well. However, Collins is the bigger threat to this Bills secondary and he is someone that Bobby Babich will need to gameplan for.
