NFL Analyst believes Bills would love to make big trade for this draft prospect

The 2024 NFL Draft is officially here and the rumors have begun to fly and will continue to fly all the way up to the point that the Chicago Bears are on the clock with the first pick. For the Buffalo Bills, the big question is whether or not they address wide receiver in the first round and how exactly they do that.

There are a number of receivers who could be considered first-round options for the Bills that would help boost a position that has gone through significant changes this offseason with the departure of Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis. However, general manager Brandon Beane is not afraid to go big and ESPN's Matt Miller believes this might be the course the team takes.

Buffalo Bills would 'love to move heaven and earth for Rome Odunze'

On Wednesday, Miller was on The Dan Patrick Show and he was asked what he thinks the Bills will do during the NFL Draft. Miller said 'I believe the Buffalo Bills would love to move heaven and earth for Rome Odunze.'

He went on to say that he would agree with the decision because the Bills have not been able to get past the Chiefs. Miller explained that the Bills are likely going to always be picking in the back half of the first round because of Josh Allen so how valuable might that first round pick next year be?

That certainly could be the thought process, especially now the Bills have two second-round picks in the 2025 NFL Draft due to the Diggs trade, that first-round pick is not nearly as valuable.

It would certainly be costly but Rome Odunze is one of the few wide receivers in this draft class that is ready from Day 1 to not only be a starter but be that top receiver in an offense. The addition of Odunze would complete the position and the Bills wouldn't necessarily need to use another pick this year on a wide receiver and could use the remaining draft picks to address other areas of concern on the roster.
