The Buffalo Bills have always been a great representation of putting the team first before anything else. While they have the stars on their team, Sean McDermott has done a solid job of putting the needs of the team first before caving to a star player’s needs. It has been the mentality since his arrival and it doesn't look like he will be changing that philosophy anytime soon. The free agents that the Bills bring in each season tend to have that mentality and they become an asset rather than a liability.

That includes wide receiver Mack Hollins, whom the Bills signed from the Atlanta Falcons this offseason. Hollins will more than likely see himself on special teams more than the offense, but Bills fans should not be surprised to see the new #13 on the offense in heavy passing situations.

This past week, it was noted that this Buffalo offense will be an “everybody eats” type of unit in which everyone is going to get involved. Hearing that is a great setup for players who might not be as involved as others on the offense. Hollins falls into this category due to the fact that the Bills already have guys like Keon Coleman, Curtis Samuel, Khalil Shakir, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. However, Hollins provided the best answer when it came to how this offense will be dominant because of this mentality.

According to Thad Brown, Hollins talked about how this “everybody eats” offense is going to work for this unit.

Hollins is all about the team first

With the Bills transitioning into a new-look offense, there is going to need to be open-mindedness about how this unit plays out. It is going to be a journey of ups and downs, and players may even express their frustration of not getting the full attention. That should not matter at all.

The main goal is to spread the football around, hit the best guy open in the situation that is given, and make the best out of every opportunity. Hopefully this mentality continues on in training camp and going into Week 1.
