The Buffalo Bills made two big roster moves in a short period of time recently with the first being the extension of former first round pick Ed Oliver. The four-year extension helped create some needed cap space this offseason and general manager Brandon Beane didn't waste any time before he used that cap space to sign edge rusher Leonard Floyd.

The Chicago Bears' former first round pick has been an excellent pass rusher the past three seasons after joining the Los Angeles Rams as a free agent with nearly 30 sacks over that time frame. He was one of the best pass rushers available in free agency but hadn't signed with a new team yet.

Leonard Floyd believes the Buffalo Bills have what is needed to win a Super Bowl

On Tuesday, Floyd met with the media and did say that he had other offers on the table but wants to win a Super Bowl. He believes that the Buffalo Bills have that potential and had bigger contract offers from other teams.

"It was simple. I want to win a Super Bowl and I was examining teams and looking at their rosters and the Bills are the best. I just feel like if I came here, I can help the team get there."

Leonard Floyd certainly knows what it takes to win a Super Bowl as he did with the Los Angeles Rams in 2021. That season, the Rams would trade for Von Miller and these two would be one of the best passing duos as Floyd would have 9.5 sacks in the regular season with two more in the playoffs.

Meanwhile, Von Miller had five in eight regular season games with four more in the playoffs. The Buffalo Bills hope that once Miller is able to return from his torn ACL these two can once again create that dynamic duo for this defense.

According to ESPN's Field Yates, the Bills were able to keep Floyd's cap hit low this season but also did have three void years added onto the end of the contract. This will essentially be dead cap the Bills will account for down the road but this addition absolutely helps the Buffalo Bills' chances of winning a Super Bowl this season.
