For the past few weeks, it seems like Buffalo Bills fans cannot inhale or exhale, just once, without watching, hearing or reading Josh Allen slander.
From analysts making predictions in regards to Allen's regression in the coming year, to the veteran being labeled as the single-most overrated quarterback in the NFL, Allen has dealt with his fair share of unwarranted criticism.
As for his reaction to being labeled "overrated," Allen had this to say:
"My reaction is, I'm not mad that 11 players not on my team don't like me. So that's number one. I actually think that's a term of endearment. When other players don't like me that means I'm doing something the right way."
Regardless of the baseless opinions on Allen, recently, the Bills quarterback doesn't look too bad compared to an AFC East peer of his. Recently, an NFL agent went on record to talk about what Aaron Rodgers has done to the New York Jets organization.
To no one's surprise, Rodgers' egotistical personality and self-centered motives have the organization in complete "disarray," per the agent's report:
"There is complete disarray over there. Look at how they've handled Aaron Rodgers. Has one player had more power than him? He skipped minicamp. They have been unable to convert him into a team player. The vibe inside the building is terrible."
Dating back to his time with the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers has always wanted things done on his time and to his liking. This shouldn't be a surprising report, in the least bit. He's had the Jets go out and make moves specifically at his request, he did, indeed, skip minicamp and, in the end, he has hardly played for the team.
Rodgers' attitude and mentality is anything but team-first, which is the polar opposite of a player like Allen.
Is the narrative surrounding Aaron Rodgers growing dim by the day?
Just a couple of hours after the news dropped in regards to the Jets being in "disarray," a team beat reporter took to X (formerly Twitter) and said this:
Brian Costello, of the New York Post, had previously been talking about the Haasan Reddick situation before letting that post rip. So, he very well could be referring to the Reddick topic in the words above. But, the Reddick situation seems to be just one of multiple black clouds hanging over the team right now.
Is Rodgers a great player? Well, we know this: he was.
His last healthy season in Green Bay saw signs of regression, but Rodgers will go down as one of the best quarterbacks in league history. That's a fact.
Currently, though, we don't know much of anything about Rodgers' ability. He hasn't played in a regular season game since tearing his Achilles on the Jets' first drive of the season last year.
With that said, Rodgers hasn't played a full game since January 8, 2023. We're talking about a grand total of 20 months since Rodgers has played a full game. So, do the Jets even know what to expect out of him at this point?
I'd venture to say they do not. Rodgers is nearly 41 years old coming off an Achilles tear and still has the audacity to act the way he does.
Meanwhile, the Bills have a franchise quarterback who is as selfless, hardworking and fun-loving as they come.
You do the math. Which team has it worse?
