Jets trading Quinnen Williams would be great news for Buffalo Bills

The New York Jets would appear to be the biggest competition to the Buffalo Bills this season in the AFC East. They split the season series last year with the Bills and seemed to only get better by adding a number of players on the offensive side of the ball with none bigger than Aaron Rodgers.

The Jets hope that the improvements on offense can help compliment one of the better defenses last season. One of the reasons for their success was Quinnen Williams, who was the third overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and this past season earned his first Pro Bowl nomination and first-team All-Pro selection.

The former first round pick is currently looking for a new contract entering the final year of his rookie contract. However, negotiations don't appear to be moving in the right direction based on some recent social media posts.

If New York Jets trade Quinnen Williams, it would be a big win for the Buffalo Bills

If the New York Jets were to trade Quinnen Williams, they would almost certainly be worse off this season. Williams is one of the best defensive tackles in the NFL and a key part of that defensive line.

If he were to be traded out of the AFC East, it would be a welcomed move by the Buffalo Bills. They would not have to worry about game planning for him for two games this season.

This would be good news as Williams has had some of his best games against the Bills. Quinnen Williams has played eight career games against the Bills and he has the most sacks and QB hits against any opponent with 4.5 sacks and eight QB hits.

It doesn't appear that a trade is imminent but the longer the contract negotiations drag on, the possibility certainly gets bigger. If a trade happens, it would help the Buffalo Bills as they try to win their fourth straight AFC East title.
