Oh how the tables have turned...

There is no denying that the New England Patriots currently have the best dynasty that the NFL has ever had. Maybe it will get passed by the Kansas City Chiefs if they can win a few more Super Bowls with Patrick Mahomes but until then, the Patriots have the best one. However, the Patriots have gone down hill since Tom Brady’s departure. The seven-time Super Bowl champ left New England in 2020 and since then, the Patriots have crumbled and the Buffalo Bills have taken advantage of capturing the AFC East the last four seasons.

The Bills have taken down the Patriots in all but two games since 2020, asserting their dominance over the Patriots for the foreseeable future. While Buffalo is going through a bit of a transition with their losses this offseason, they are nowhere near the bottom like the Patriots are.

Jared Dubin from CBS Sports published a piece on the biggest question marks for each team going into the 2024 season, and Dubin gave the Patriots the most laughable weakness in the AFC East. Dubin listed the Patriots’ entire offense as their biggest weakness.

The evil empire has finally fallen in New England

Even though we have seen the Patriots fall down the mountain over the last four years, the 2024 season will be the first season where neither Tom Brady or Bill Belichick will be on the Patriots’ sideline. Jerod Mayo is now in charge and it will be the Jacoby Brissett show as rookie Drake Maye works on his development.

When looking at the rest of the Patriots offense, there are some serious concerns about their ability to light up the scoreboard. They have no dynamic wide receivers, their offensive line is average at best, and running back Rhamondre Stevenson has the best case as their best offensive player. A lot has fallen for the Patriots and they have a long way to go before they are seriously competitive.

The Bills will have their challenges this season but the Patriots’ offense should not be one of them. Division games are always the toughest to play in, but it is really hard to think that New England has a shot when they take on Buffalo twice in the last three weeks of the season.
