Grading Josh Allen's performance in Week 2 against the Raiders

It was a week ago when Josh Allen sat in front of the media after a disasterous performance against the New York Jets. Throwing three interceptions and fumbling once ended up costing the Bills a Week 1 victory in MetLife. While Allen did hold himself accountable, it wasn't enough and the Bills fanbase was looking to see how Allen would perform moving forward.

Fast forward to the next week against the Raiders, it was the Josh Allen show on offense as he did not turn the ball over and managed the game much better as compared to last week.

Allen threw the ball 37 times and completed 31 passes for 274 yards and three touchdowns. He also took advantage of the short field in front of him by getting the short passes off to nine different options. Gabriel Davis and Stefon Diggs ended up leading the pass attack in targets and yardage, but rookie tight end Dalton Kincaid was frequently looked at as he ended the game with six targets for five receptions and and 43 yards.

In addition, Allen let the run game develop by his running backs rather than taking off out of the pocket. He only ran it three times himself for seven yards (two of them were quarterback sneaks on two fourth downs to pick up a first down).

Allen looked comfortable and allowed the play to come to him rather than trying to go make one himself. He trusted his throws, built connections with his wideouts, and let the play develop through his receiving options. It also does help that he was only sacked twice as compared to five times like last week.

If this Allen shows up for the Bills each and every week, it is going to be hard to stop this offense as the sky ends up being their limit.
