The Buffalo Bills travel to MetLife Stadium to take on the New York Jets in an anticipated Monday night matchup to begin the 2023 season.

The Bills were facing an already talented Jets team that was hyped up due to their Aaron Rodgers signing over the offseason. Unfortunately, Rodgers would face a season-ending Achilles tear on his fourth snap with the Jets.

The Bills would then be heavily favored to win this contest, as an unproven Zach Wilson would try to fill in the big shoes of Aaron Rodgers. The Bills would go up by a field goal and force back-to-back punts on the Jets.

Josh Allen would then make his first mistake on the following drive, as he would scramble to the left with open space to possibly pick up the first down with his legs, yet he decides to launch a pass deep into double coverage, resulting in Allen's first interception of the game.

With the ball on the four yard line, Jets' running back Breece Hall would break out an 83-yard run and set up a Jets' field goal for their first score of the game. Allen would then lead an 11-play, 75-yard touchdown drive, connecting with Diggs in the end zone on an improvised throw on the run in the back right of the endzone.

The Jets would try to respond, but Wilson would throw a terrible pick right to Matt Milano, resulting in the Bills offense getting the ball back at mid-field. The Bills would only respond with a field goal after a 9-play, 34-yard drive, giving the Bills a 13-3 lead going into the half.
