I'm reminded every time the Bills take on the New York Jets just why I became a Buffalo Bills fan back in 1988. It was the first NFL game I watched on TV, and it was a Monday night against the Jets on October 17, 1988. It also happened to be Jim Kelly's first Monday night game of his career. Kelly threw for over 300 yards and three touchdowns on the night and led the Bills to a 31 - 7 halftime lead. Buffalo would go on to win the game 37 - 14. I was locked in as a fan from that moment on and have never wavered.

The 2023 version of the Bills has been as frustrating to watch as any, but they still have seven games remaining. Their goals for the season are still well within reach but the offense has to stop turning the ball over. They need to make some plays and get back to explosive and dominant football on the offense. The question everyone is asking this week is, can newly appointed interim offensive coordinator Joe Brady "fix" the Bills' offense?

This game is essentially a must-win for the Buffalo Bills, not only in the standings but for this team's confidence. Their performance today could go a long way toward setting the tone for the rest of the year and put them on the right path. Will the offense have it in them to put up enough points against the vaunted Jets defense? That's the big question but I think they can do it.
