The Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs meet for their matchup in the divisional round with a spot in the AFC Championship on the line. It is the third time the team's two quarterbacks, Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen, will meet up in the playoffs.

Allen has yet to see a playoff win against the Mahomes-led Chiefs. With that being said, Mahomes has never played in Highmark Stadium during the playoffs. The last time they played there at all was the first meeting between the two quarterbacks on October 19th, 2020. That game resulted in a 26-17 Kansas City win, but was the last time Mahomes had beaten Allen and the Bills in the regular season.

The remainder of the matchups between the two teams have come inside of Arrowhead Stadium where Allen and the Bills have won each time in the regular season. This includes this past season's game that resulted in a 20-17 win and was the start of Buffalo's current six-game win streak they are riding heading into the divisional game matchup.

Mahomes has the edge on Allen when it comes to playoff games. In January of 2021, Buffalo came up short in a 39-24 loss in the AFC Championship to Kansas City. A year later in the divisional round, the same result happened again with a heartbreaking last-second touchdown for the Chiefs to win the game by a score of 42-36.

Allen now has a chance to turn the tide in this electrifying quarterback matchup and turn the tide of Buffalo's playoff woes against the Chiefs. It would mean miles for his career and his legacy as he is coming into the prime years of his NFL play and will surely write a new chapter in the budding rivalry between him and Mahomes.

The Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs will kick off this Sunday at 6:30 p.m. E.T.
